In legal proceedings, she represents a range of both Dutch and international clients, from governmental authorities to leading businesses.
Her practice involves a broad range of spatial planning and environmental issues, including disputes about various sustainable energy projects and real estate developments. She also litigates enforcement matters, handles the permitting of numerous of projects, and assists in obtaining the necessary permits for numerous projects.
Meike holds a master's degree in Constitutional and Administrative Law, specialising in Environmental Law, from Leiden University.
Meike has written various articles and case commentaries on a wide range of issues, including asylum law, general administrative law and subsidies. She has also contributed several articles to the section on the Dutch General Administrative Law Act of the Tekst & Commentaar series. She is currently working on a preliminary report for the Dutch Administrative Law Association – Young Lawyers (Jonge VAR) on public participation obligations in Dutch environmental law.
