Stibbe assists a Belgian field service provider with pension-related matters relating to a joint venture
Stibbe provided assistance to a Belgian field service provider on the pension-related aspects of forming a joint venture with a leading Belgian telecom provider to deliver high-quality IT and electronic installation services in the growing digital technologies market.
The newly-created joint venture aims at generating a turnover of ca. EUR 100,000,000 and employs more than 1,000 employees and contractors.
Our assistance included handling several complex matters related to the revision and harmonisation of pension plans, transfers from the telecom provider’s pension fund to insurance companies, and the drafting and negotiation of pension-related arrangements and collective bargaining agreements. This transaction had to be completed within a few months and involved merging two companies with large employee populations.
