Stibbe advises Wind aan de Stroom
Stibbe advised Wind aan de Stroom and Triodos on a project finance package for the development of the extension of its wind farm on the Antwerp left bank with five extra wind turbines.
We assisted “Wind aan de stroom” (an SPV held by Antwerp Port Company, Antwerp Left Bank Development Company, and Groene Haven), in developing the first and second phase of its onshore wind park on the Antwerp left bank.
Ports are located near the sea, so they are windy locations. They are also industrial areas. These two characteristics make ports ideal locations for developing onshore wind projects.
We assisted “Wind aan de Stroom” in the first phase of the project. Our assignment was extended in the second phase resulting into a full assistance for the development and a role as transaction counsel for the financing. Our assistance includes advice on the procurement strategy, negotiating the TSA and O&M, advising on the financing of the project.
