Tirza specialises in Dutch Tax Law, with a special focus on procedural tax law and legal protection. She has experience in conducting complex tax litigation cases and advising clients in both domestic and international tax law matters.
Tirza specialises in Dutch Tax Law, with a special focus on procedural tax law and legal protection. She has experience in conducting complex tax litigation cases and advising clients in both domestic and international tax law matters.
Her practice involves a broad range of tax topics, including complex tax matters, tax litigation, transactions, and communication processes with the Dutch Tax Authorities. Tirza’s clients include a wide range of private, listed, Dutch, international and multinational companies.
Tirza studied both Dutch Tax Law and Dutch Linguistics at Leiden University.
She is a part-time teacher and researcher in Tax Law at Leiden University and regularly gives lectures on tax law for different stakeholders in the field of Dutch tax law.
She wrote a PhD thesis on the topic of legitimate expectations raised by general information from the Dutch Tax Authorities, graduating cum laude. She has written numerous articles and case commentaries on tax law in tax journals and other publications.
She has been a member of the board of the Association of Tax Science (VBW) since 2022 and is a permanent author for TaxVisions and FED journal. Tirza is a member of the Dutch Bar Association (NOvA) and a member of the Dutch Association of Tax Advisers (NOB).
