Ian specialises in the large domain of public law and focuses on various legal areas such as public procurement, PPPs and public contracts. He assists both public and private clients with advice, litigation and projects.

Through years of practice, Ian has acquired a solid experience in public procurement. He advises clients throughout both the selection and award phase as well as the execution phase. He also has specialised expertise in the digitalization of procurement procedures (i.e. e-procurement). Moreover, Ian provides assistance in various types of interlocutory proceedings related to the awarding and execution of public procurements and to public law in general. He undertakes this before the Constitutional Court, the Council of State and the civil courts.
Ian also advises on a wide array of matters related to general public law. Furthermore, he regularly contributes to the drafting of a diverse range of legislative documents on behalf of different federal and regional governments.
Ian is the author of various publications on his areas of expertise and a regular guest speaker at seminars and conferences. He holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from the University of Antwerp.
Ian joined the Brussels office of Stibbe in 2007.
