Esther specialises in Belgian and international tax law. She mainly focuses on tax aspects of corporate and financial transactions, tax litigation, and tax advisory work.
Esther specialises in Belgian and international tax law. She mainly focuses on tax aspects of corporate and financial transactions, tax litigation, and tax advisory work.
Esther assists clients in a broad range of tax-related matters and regularly assists clients with seeking tax rulings. She is particularly active in the field of investment funds, private equity, mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructurings, (re)financing and capital markets transactions, from a transactional, litigation and advisory perspective, and has built-up significant expertise in these areas.
Esther is a regular guest speaker at seminars and conferences and has been a teaching assistant at KU Leuven since 2018 where she teaches the course ‘the Law of Obligations’ to first year law students.
Esther obtained a master’s degree in Law from KU Leuven in 2016. In addition, she holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree in tax law from the Université libre de Bruxelles (2017) and completed the Stibbe MBA Highlights Programme at INSEAD in Fontainebleau (France) in 2023.
Before joining the Brussels office of Stibbe in 2018, Esther was a lawyer in the tax department of another independent Belgian law firm.
