Various litigation vehicles and plaintiff lawyers have initiated follow-on damage litigation in the Netherlands with the first case filed by CDC Retail before the District Court of Amsterdam in July 2017 and a competing action was filed by Claims Funding Europe before the District Court of Eindhoven. Many major competing actions have now been filed by well-known claim funders, trade organisations, insurance companies, etc.
