Stibbe appoints two new counsel in Brussels

Tobe Inghelbrecht is a highly competent litigation, arbitration and general commercial lawyer known for his exceptional technical expertise. He has been with the firm since 2013. Tobe’s key areas of focus are banking and finance litigation, corporate and business litigation, as well as all matters related to contract, tort, and procedural law. He is well-versed in advisory work and has extensive experience in representing clients in court. In addition to his practice as a lawyer, Tobe has been serving as a teaching assistant within the Institute for the Law of Obligations at KU Leuven since 2018.

Renaud Smal started his career at Stibbe in 2016. He specialises in administrative and construction law, with a focus on environmental law, spatial planning, and urbanism. Renaud provides regulatory advice and is actively involved in transactions and projects. He also represents clients in litigation matters before civil and administrative courts. Renaud has held a position as a lecturer in environmental law at the University of Liège since 2015. Together with counsel Olivier Di Giacomo, Renaud will continue to serve Stibbe’s French speaking client base in environmental and planning law for the Brussels and Walloon regions.
