Jan-Jaap Koningsveld strengthens TMT/IP practice Stibbe Amsterdam
Stibbe Amsterdam is pleased to announce the expansion of its TMT/IP practice with the appointment of Jan-Jaap Koningsveld as counsel. Jan-Jaap brings a wealth of experience in intellectual property (IP), IT, data protection and cybersecurity, offering a distinctive combination of strategic advisory and guidance on complex corporate transactions.
Jan-Jaap brings years of experience in IP (vendor) due diligence, restructuring, and IP portfolio management to the table. His in-depth expertise in data protection and cybersecurity makes him a valuable resource for our clients facing stringent regulations and increasing risks. His extensive experience and notable track record in national and international M&A transactions allows Stibbe to provide even more robust solutions to complex issues related to IP, IT and cybersecurity in deals, restructurings and post-M&A processes. To this end, he will work closely with our Corporate and Banking & Finance practices in the Netherlands and Belgium, as well as our Belgian TMT/IP practice.
His background in litigation will also enhance our capacity to support clients in both commercial disputes and IP proceedings before courts and regulatory bodies.
Jan-Jaap joined Stibbe on 1 November 2024, following over 12 years at Freshfields. He holds a master's degree in private law from VU University Amsterdam, with specialisations in intellectual property law and civil procedural law.
