Derk acts for leading domestic and international clients, both listed and privately held. He has extensive experience in advising on initial public offerings, corporate governance matters and a variety of corporate transactions.
He advised on numerous listings and subsequent transactions including those of InPost, ABN AMRO, Majorel, Banijay, Intertrust, Azerion, Heijmans, Wavin, TomTom and ING.
From 2014 to 2019, Derk held the position of Managing Partner. He was also the resident partner in our New York and London offices. He holds a master's degree in civil law from the University of Leiden and a LL.M from Columbia University in New York. Derk lectures at several universities and international organizations such as the IBA and is the co-author of books and articles on securities law.
