Stibbe represented online supermarket Picnic in proceedings brought by the trade union FNV before the District Court of Amsterdam (sub-district court).

The FNV was of the opinion that all Picnic subsidiaries are subject to the supermarket collective agreement. Picnic disagreed; only Picnic B.V. is categorised as a supermarket within the meaning of the CAO, while all subsidiaries have their own independent activities which are not subject to the supermarket collective agreement. The Sub-district Court fully agreed with Picnic's point of view.
