Stibbe acted as defence counsel for Westermeerwind B.V., the developer and owner of the nearshore wind farm along the dikes of the Dutch Noordoostpolder.

Two associations claim that their members have the right to obtain shares in Westermeerwind at an extremely low price. Stibbe won the proceedings (conducted under the old class action regime) at both the first and second instances. Proceedings before the Dutch Supreme Court are pending.
