Stibbe assists BSTOR
Stibbe assisted BSTOR, a Belgian company specialising in the development and financing of utility-scale battery energy storage parks, in launching the construction of its project D-STOR—a 50 MW / 140 MWh BESS project in La Louvière—scheduled to be operational by summer 2026.
The project began construction in October 2024 and is located on a site of Duferco Wallonie.
This €70 million project is a 50/50 joint venture between BSTOR and Duferco, a company active in the redevelopment of industrial brownfields, renewable energies, and logistics services. D-STOR aims to address the increasing demand for fast regulation capacity driven by the energy transition.
Stibbe provided comprehensive legal support to BSTOR on all development aspects of the project.
