Stibbe advised SOFICO (Société de Financement Complémentaire des infrastructures), a public investment company created by the Walloon Region, on its plans to install LED lights on the 2,300km road network.

The project is procured under a design, build, finance, maintain and operate contract. Applications for the performance-based contract are sought by SOFICO during the first half of 2018. The government aims to begin work in 2018. The contract duration will be 20 years. A consortium of Stibbe, Hexa, EGIS and PwC has advised the Sofico and the Walloon government on the project since 2014.
