Stibbe advises on landmark multi-family residential transaction in Brussels
Stibbe acted as legal counsel to ION Residential Platform (IRP), a joint venture between ION, Bouwinvest, and CBRE IM, in its most recent acquisition of 100% of the shares in Calevoet Land from developers LIFE and Miix. This acquisition stands out as one of Belgium’s most significant and sustainable residential rental development projects in recent years.
Located in the dynamic Brussels municipality of Ukkel, the project involves the transformative redevelopment of the former AstraZeneca office building into a complex of five sustainable residential buildings. This ambitious project will include 1,176 m² of commercial space, enhancing the area’s economic and social vitality. Sustainability is central to the design, with energy-efficient units powered by geothermal heating systems and solar panels.
