Stibbe has advised Defence for Children and PILP-NJCM on a pro bono basis about the possibilities of conducting legal proceedings in relation to the Dutch amnesty scheme for minors seeking asylum (Kinderpardon).

Defence for Children and PILP-NJCM have been critical of the restrictive manner in which the government has carried out the amnesty scheme, particularly the so-called 'cooperate criterion' (meewerkcriterium), and wanted to explore the possibility of conducting legal proceedings on behalf of a group of children with roots in the Netherlands.
