Deadline for UBO information filing postponed (again)

The Belgian Minister of Finance has announced that the 31 March 2019 deadline for filing the UBO information regarding Belgian companies, non-profit associations, foundations, trusts, fiduciaries, and similar legal entity structures will be postponed.

The Minister cited technical problems with the online application for filing the information are the reasons for this postponement. The Minister also refers to legal uncertainties regarding the scope of the filing obligation, which he expects to be clarified by the administration.
The new deadline is 30 September 2019.
