Sophie Beerepoot’s practice focuses on insolvency law, restructuring and litigation. She has experience in litigating and advising on liability, security rights and insolvency law issues for a wide variety of national and international clients.
Sophie Beerepoot’s practice focuses on insolvency law, restructuring and litigation. She has experience in litigating and advising on liability, security rights and insolvency law issues for a wide variety of national and international clients.
She also regularly advises on complex (cross-border) restructurings. She is regularly appointed by the Amsterdam District Court as administrator or bankruptcy trustee in insolvency proceedings.
Sophie has a Master of Law with a focus on Trade and Company Law from Maastricht University (2014). Prior to joining Stibbe, Sophie worked at an international law firm in Amsterdam and was seconded to their New York office. Sophie also spent a year on the Dutch Caribbean island of Curaçao, where she practiced law and was admitted to the local bar.
Sophie has contributed to various publications, including the 2020 edition of the Global Restructuring Review and the specialist Journal for Insolvency law (Tijdschrift voor Insolventierecht).
