David’s experience includes PPP/PFI (DBFM(O)), property development, property finance, real estate and concession contracts, including concessions for public transport, water, energy and waste.

In addition, David regularly advises on the European and national procurement regulations ("aanbestedingsrecht"). David is also a widely published author and lecturer on this subject.

He holds various memberships including at the Nederlandse Vereniging voor Aanbestedingsrecht, Nederlandse Vereniging voor Bouwrecht and Nederlandse Vereniging voor Procesrecht.

David has a master’s in law from the University of Amsterdam.

Amsterdam District Court ruled that Schiphol's termination of the A-Pier construction contract was unlawful. Stibbe successfully represented the consortium BN-TAV in the proceedings concerning design responsibility and termination criteria.
