Louis represents clients in complex commercial litigations before Belgian and European courts and regulatory authorities. He devotes a substantial part of his time to multinational patent litigation.
Louis has a deep understanding of the regulatory aspects of the life sciences sector, including launch and marketing strategies, promotional practices, rebates, pricing and reimbursement, health care reforms, and competition law aspects. In addition, he advises clients on all non-contentious aspects of intellectual property law and pharmaceutical law. He drafts contracts and legal opinions and he advises clients on intellectual property aspects of M&A operations.
He often speaks at conferences and regularly authors articles on topics related to intellectual property and pharmaceutical law. He is a member of the International Trademark Association (INTA), the Licensing Executives Society (LES), young EPLAW and the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI).
Louis obtained a master’s degree in Law from the Université catholique de Louvain in 2019. He also holds a specialised master’s degree in Intellectual Property from KU Leuven (2021). He is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel.
