His practice involves a wide range of civil liability issues, including disputes concerning various types of contracts, tort litigation, professional liability disputes, and banking and securities litigation. He also represents auditors of big accountancy firms in proceedings before the disciplinary courts for auditors.
Gertjan is also an insolvency expert and litigates over issues such as the validation of claims, fraudulent preference and director's liability.
He holds a PhD in bankruptcy law from the University of Nijmegen and also serves as deputy judge in the Court of Appeal of 's-Hertogenbosch.
